Thenga pathal is a mahe special item... Got this recipe from my dear friend Saheela noufal :)
Ingredients
- 1cup white rice/Pachari
- 1 handfull Cooked rice
- 1/4cup& 3tbspn extra Grated coconut
- needed salt
- needed for grinding water
- 2tbspn oil/Ghee
- Soak white rice atlest 4 hrs
- then grind it with cooked rice & grated coconut-3tbspn with enough water
- batter z similar to our normal idly batter..
- add salt and mix well
- then heat a non stick pan and pour a ladle full of batter n spread it
- Then sprinkle coconut(1 spoon z enough) on top..
- Close the lid n smear little oil to the edges
- cook in med flame
- When one side is done..Turnover and cook for 1-2 mins... n remove frm fire
- Serve hot with any spicy curry
