Moodi Pathal z mahi special item...Got this maahi recipe from my dear friend Saneeba Rafiq....she teached me lots of traditional Malabar recipes...I’m always blown away by the creativity and imagination of my friend Saneeba Rafiq,.seeing all her creations fills me with awe and , a tinge of jealousy...here goes 2 recipe:-
Ingredients
- 1cup Pachari/White rice
- 1 hand full cooked rice
- 1-2tbspn grated coconut
- needed Salt
- to smear the edges Oil
- Soak white rice atleast 3-4 hours
- then grind it with cooked rice & grated coconut with enough water
- batter z similar to our normal dosa batter..
- add salt and mix well
- then heat a non stick pan and pour a ladle full of batter n spread it
- Close the lid(Dats y its called moodi(Lid)Pathal) n smear little oil to the edges
- cook in med flame
- When one side is done..Turnover and cook for 1-2 mins... n remove frm fire
- Serve hot with any spicy curry
Note:-
Tastes super with chicken/mutton/beef/spicy fish curry
