Thenga pathil

Thenga pathal is a mahe special item... Got this recipe from my dear friend Saheela noufal :)

  • 1cup white rice/Pachari
  • 1 handfull Cooked rice
  • 1/4cup& 3tbspn extra Grated coconut
  • needed salt
  • needed for grinding water
  • 2tbspn oil/Ghee

Cooking Directions
  1. Soak white rice atlest 4 hrs
  2. then grind it with cooked rice & grated coconut-3tbspn with enough water
  3. batter z similar to our normal idly batter..
  4. add salt and mix well
  5. then heat a non stick pan and pour a ladle full of batter n spread it
  6. Then sprinkle coconut(1 spoon z enough) on top..
  7. Close the lid n smear little oil to the edges
  8. cook in med flame
  9. When one side is done..Turnover and cook for 1-2 mins... n remove frm fire
  10. Serve hot with any spicy curry
